Application Eligibility

- SSC/Equivalent: A minimum GPA of 3.00 with at least a GPA of 2.00 in General Mathematics or Higher Mathematics.
- ‘O’ Level: A minimum of a ‘C’ grade in one subject and ‘D’ grades in two other subjects, including Mathematics.
Diploma in Marine Engineering:
Academic: Must have passed SSC/Dakhil from the Science group only, or SSC (Vocational)/Dakhil (Vocational) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, securing a minimum GPA of 3.50. ‘O’ Level students must have a minimum ‘C’ grade in 5 subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and English.
Age: Maximum 18 years on the date of application.
Physical Fitness:

- Required GPA: A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required for all diploma programs in private institutions.
- Admission Basis: Admission to private institutions is on a “first come, first served” basis for the available seats.
Important Note for ‘O’ Level Students: ‘O’ Level students must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Dhaka Education Board and submit it to the BTEB before applying.
Apply Online
The entire application process for BTEB admission is conducted online. Here is a detailed guide to help you navigate the application portal:
Step 1: Payment of Application and Admission Test Fees
- Before starting the online application, you must pay the required fees through a mobile banking service like bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay, Tap, or OK Wallet.
- For government institutions, you need to pay an application fee of 162 Taka (160 Taka fee + 2 Taka service charge) per shift. Additionally, a one-time admission test fee of 500 Taka is required for applying to any number of government diploma programs. The user interface for the application will only become active after both the application and admission test fees are paid.
- For private institutions, only the application fee of 162 Taka per shift is required.
- You must use the specific payment codes for each program, which are available on the admission website: www.btebadmission.gov.bd.
Step 2: Filling out the Online Application Form
- Visit the official BTEB admission website: www.btebadmission.gov.bd.
- Click on the “Apply Now” button for the program you are applying to.
- You will be directed to the application page where you need to enter your SSC roll number, registration number, board, passing year, and a valid mobile number. Be very careful while entering your mobile number as all future communications will be sent to this number.
- After clicking “Next”, your academic information will be displayed.
Step 3: Uploading Your Photograph
- You will need to upload a recent, clear, passport-sized color photograph in JPEG format.
- The image size should not exceed 100 KB, with dimensions of 150×120 pixels.
- After uploading the photo, click “Save and Next”. You will receive a security code which you must save for future use.
Step 4: Choosing Your Preferences
- On the Applicant’s Account page, click “Apply Now” for your desired program.
- You will then see the option form where you can select your preferred district, institution, shift, and technology.
- For government institutions, you can select a maximum of 10 choices (institution/technology).
- For private institutions, you can select only one institution and technology.
- After making your selections, click “Submit” to complete your application. You can then print a copy of your submitted application for your records.

Admit Card Download

Admission Test Marks Distribution
The selection of students for government institutions is based on a total score of 100, which is a combination of the admission test score and your SSC GPA.

BTEB Admission Result 2025
The admission results will be published in several phases. The first phase result for government institutions will be published on September 4, 2025 (Thursday).

Selection Confirmation
